OUR IMPACT

Our relentless commitment to sustainability is non-negotiable which is why each step of the building process is carefully considered to reduce environmental impact.

High quality design

Homes are designed to enhance the natural environment taking inspiration from local materials and the topography of the surrounding region. Our design philosophy is blend of local heritage as well as Scandinavian, Swiss and German styles.

Meaningful materials

We work with our trusted suppliers to substitute materials for more environmentally friendly or energy-efficient alternatives. These materials are loyal to their sustainable integrity but without compromising on style, durability or quality.

Likeminded partners

We consciously work with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to sustainable development in a bid to raise the bar for environmentally friendly design and build.

Respect the natural world

To encourage biodiversity we lay bee bricks, install bat boxes and incorporate hedgehog homes into garden schemes. This enriches local wildlife and local ecosystems.

On-site responsibility

The built environment is responsible for almost 40% of global CO2 emissions, half of all extracted materials are used in construction (Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction 2019). Imagine the waste! Thats why we endeavour to recycle as much of our left over materials as possible.

SUSTAINABLE LIVING

We integrate energy-efficient technologies to ensure that the environmental footprint of our homes is as marginal as possible. For all new build projects we target A-rated EPC Passivhaus status, whilst for renovation projects we target a B rating.

Sustainability is incorporated into our homes, by installing:

  • High grade of insulation in the floors, walls and ceilings to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency

  • Air source heat pumps – a low carbon heating source which can reduce energy bills

  • Solar PV panels as standard across all our new build homes with optional battery storage

  • Electric car charging points and cycle storage to simplify the move away from fossil fuels

Our vision for the future see all our new homes actually become carbon negative and produce more energy than they consume!
